Mizuno Tennis Dominates at the 2018 BB&T Atlanta Open

Mizuno Tennis dominated with speed at the 2018 BB&T Atlanta Open in downtown Atlanta, Georgia! This ATP World Tour tournament is the first of four stops of the North American hardcourt season that leads up to the US Open. Fans of the Atlanta Open saw one of its deepest player fields in recent years and in that field were a few of Mizuno’s top tennis athletes.

Ivo Karlovic, Malek Jaziri, and the always popular and crowd favorite Marcos Baghdatis played in the single’s matches. Baghdatis decked out in his all-black Mizuno shirt and shorts, ran all the way to the quarterfinals in our Wave Exceed Tour 3 AC before falling to Matt Ebden. On the doubles court, Mizuno was highly represented by six different players! Most notably, Rajeev Ram and John-Patrick Smith faced off in the championship match! A big congratulations also went to John-Patrick Smith for winning his maiden title on the ATP World Tour at the BB&T Atlanta Open!

Off of the court, fans were given their very own chance to demo the Wave Exceed Tour 3 AC during four different demo days offered over the course of the week. This was a first time for many to play in a Mizuno tennis shoe. Most couldn’t believe what they had been missing out on for so long.

Matt, 40 years old, has been playing tennis for over 20 years and said he has not played in a shoe this comfortable and breathable for many years, if ever!
Sally, 17 years old, has been playing tennis for 3 years now and loved how light the shoes were and how much support they provided her.
Maria, 50 years old, told us that she had to tell the rest of her ALTA team about them.
