REACH BEYOND: Japanese Para Track and Field Athlete, Saki Takakuwa

The sixth video in the REACH BEYOND series features Mizuno Japan’s Para Track and Field Athlete, Saki Takakuwa.

After losing her leg, Takakuwa was drawn to competing in a sport she always loved, running. Based in Japan, she plans to not only make it to the 2020 World Champions but to medal in the finals.

Her list of accomplishments thus far includes placing at the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games and medaling at the 2015 Para Athletics World Championships Long Jump.

“I always remind myself that if I can break through, I can achieve an even better result, and can become even better at the sport.”

Watch below to see how she will prepare for 2020.
