National Championship Title Extends Lead in USA Running Circuit Standings

2014 Peachtree 10k Road Race

Norcross, Ga. (July 7, 2014) – Mizuno Brand Ambassador Christo Landry bested the field of elite runners at the 2014 AJC Peachtree Road Race with a time of 28:25 to win his third U.S. road championship this year and deliver a road 10K personal-best. The AJC Peachtree Road Race takes place every Fourth of July in Atlanta to celebrate our nation’s independence; this was the 45th running.

Landry previously won the 10 Mile and 25K Championships in 2014, and this title puts him in a strong position to win the U.S. Road Circuit Championship title. Up next for Landry will be the U.S. 7 Mile Championship, July 26th in Davenport, Ia., where he will look to make it four in a row. Christo will also compete in the U.S. 20K Championships in New Heaven, Conn., in September, before rounding out the year at the Chicago Marathon where he aims to eclipse his personal best of 2:14:44.

“Christo’s accomplishments thus far in 2014 have been nothing short of dominating,” said Chris Hollis, Grassroots Marketing Manager, Running, Mizuno USA. “It has been exciting to watch him race this year and see a continued series of strong performances in his remaining races.”
