A Daily Routine for Staying Active while Working from Home

Working from home isn’t easy and staying focused can be tricky. The best thing you can do is break up your day by finding ways to keep your heart and mind happy and healthy. In order to do so, we asked around our office to see what different people are doing to stay active while working from home.

Together, we put together a daily routine for you to try on your own at home:

8am:

Start your day with a 10-minute stretch!

10am:

Try to do 25 push-ups without stopping. Complete this morning exercise with a glass of water.

12pm: 

It’s time to focus on the core right before lunch. Get in a straight arm plank position, then bring your left arm up and to the ceiling to hold for 30 seconds. Repeat on each side 5 times each for a total of 10 Side Planks. After your done, break for a quick, healthy lunch.

2pm:

Your legs need some activity! Do 50 lunges total with 25 on each leg. For a little more of a workout, try adding weight!

4pm:

Start to wrap up your day with one last core workout. Sit on your floor or mat and do 50 Russian Twists. Try adding weight to push yourself a little more.

5pm:

It’s time to cool down! End your day with a 2-Minute Spiderman with Thoracic rotation stretch. Don’t forget to have another glass of water before dinner!
