MIZUNO NFT COLLECTION to Launch Digital Art Collection
Mizuno announces hosting an auction of its first digital art, the “MIZUNO NFT COLLECTION,” on the OpenSea NFT marketplace on February 24, 11:00 a.m. Japan time (February 23, 9 PM EST).
Mizuno is launching this collection with the hope that this new approach to sports will generate interest among a vast range of people by connecting sports, athletes, artists, and gear. Mizuno hopes that athletes and sports gear will continue to be documented and cherished by people worldwide for many years to come.
A total of 19 items in the following three categories will be released.
① Judo “MIZUNO JUDO ALL JAPAN ” 3 items
② Running “MIZUNO WAVE REBELLION PRO” 7 colors x 1 item
③ Football “MIZUNO α ” 3 colors x 3 items
The “MIZUNO JUDO ALL JAPAN ” (Judo), will be digital art representing the Japanese national judo team, illustrated by the immensely popular illustrator Ryokke Draw, known for his powerful depictions of athletes.
The “MIZUNO WAVE REBELLION PRO” (Running) is based on the Osaka Marathon’s rainbow-themed concept, featuring seven colors of digital art as NFT. Purchasers of the NFT are also entitled to receive a “one of a kind” pair of actual running shoes in the size of their choice.
The “MIZUNO α ” (Football) will feature the release of football boots in three colors; two colors of the global strategic model “MIZUNO α” released in November 2022, and black color for an upcoming “MIZUNO α” to be released in March 2023.
The auction will run from 11:00 a.m. on February 24 to 00:00 on April 1 (Japan time), and the NFTs will be sold to the highest bidders.
This is the first NFT launch for Mizuno.

“MIZUNO NFT COLLECTION”
The “MIZUNO NFT COLLECTION” will consist of 19 items in the following three categories.
① “MIZUNO JUDO ALL JAPAN”
This digital art is based on the traditional Japanese sport of judo. This NFT was created in cooperation with the All Japan Judo Federation and designed by Ryokke Draw, who is known for depicting top athletes with his unique and powerful style of art. Three types of digital art will be released.

Ryokke Draw is a freelance illustrator focusing mainly on martial arts illustrations. He has created a variety of artwork, including social media graphics for prominent U.S. sports channels.

② “MIZUNO WAVE REBELLION PRO”
The digital art for the “WAVE REBELLION PRO,” a running shoe with a unique new shape inspired by the shape of sprint track spikes, was launched globally in January 2023. A total of seven colors will be available, inspired by the rainbow themes for the Osaka Marathon, of which Mizuno is an official sponsor. The NFTs will also include the right to receive a pair of “one-of-a-kind” running shoes in their chosen size. The actual shoes will be delivered to the purchaser by June 2023 or later (tentative).
③ “MIZUNO α”
The digital art for the “MIZUNO α (Alpha),” a lightweight soccer cleat made of artificial leather and specially designed for intense work and sprinting, was launched globally in November 2022. Three items will be available in each of three colors, white, black, and blue.
Sale of the “MIZUNO NFT COLLECTION”
To purchase items from the “MIZUNO NFT COLLECTION,” please access the OpenSea website from the special Mizuno homepage in your country and participate in the auction. The auction will run from 11:00 a.m. on February 24 to 00:00 on April 1 (Japan time), and a minimum bid price has been set for each item. Ethereum (also referred to as “ETH”) will be used as the digital currency for the auction.*1
