New Gait Analysis System Added to Mizuno Experience Center

Mizuno Experience Center

The Mizuno Experience Center located at The Battery Atlanta has added a new technology to its roster of experiences for runners, Precision Fit Neo. In two minutes, the innovative biomechanical analysis system finds the right type of running shoe for a runner’s foot type and gait. Precision Fit Neo differentiates itself from other industry systems through consideration of lower limb biomechanics.

For the last decade, Mizuno has partnered with Currex, a German company specializing in development and production of analysis systems like Precision Fit Neo and procedures for orthopedic gait and running analysis. Previously, we predominately utilized the technology at expos and large running events, but felt the opportunity was right to give greater access at the Mizuno Experience Center.

“Mizuno strives to provide the best consumer experience for runners through continuous innovation in technology,” said Tomohiro Ota, Chief Marketing Officer, Mizuno USA. “We are very proud to be the first running brand in the U.S. to introduce this new gait analysis technology and offer it exclusively at the Mizuno Experience Center.”

Proven to be more reliable than a traditional video gait analysis, the two-minute process involves a multi-step analysis of a few key factors, such as biomechanics, foot characteristics and feel. Not only do runners learn what type of shoe is best for their foot, but through the process, individuals gain understanding of their foot type paired with the right shoe. This can also help improve technique while running.

The two-minute analysis process is simple and easy:
  1. Gender, speed and weight entered into system
  2. Alignment of stance is analyzed by Mizuno team member
  3. Test gait of both right & left foot and repeat three times
  4. Precision Fit Neo delivers analysis and what shoe type is best for your foot
